How School for Life began
They dedicate their lives trying to help children from their slum have the education they didn’t receive themselves. Inspired by them Howard and Jack got together to set up Schoolforlifeuk to continue to provide the children with education. Without education these children will have limited opportunities in life.
Howard has worked for the NHS and for National Charities in the UK with Autistic people for 25 years . Revisiting India in 2017 after 25 years he found it as mesmerizing as ever and when he visited Dharmsala saw the opportunity to help as well as being a tourist. SchoolforLifeUk and its mission to provide education so presently impoverished people can build bright futures is a passion for Howard.
Emma is our youngest trustee, though she is already well travelled and has experience in Marketing. She is our social media guru and has a particular passion to ensure that SchoolforlifeUK ensures that girls have the same opportunities for education and chances as the boys.
Having spent 30 years as an entrepreneur investing and running businesses ranging from building, swimming pool construction, vineyards, and writing his own book Jack felt it was timely to step back slightly from the day to day hustle and bustle of business life to get involved with charity work, initially running half marathons, marathons and race the sun challenges to support mainstream charities, but then taking on the more serious (and rewarding role) as a trustee for School For Life UK.
